The hillside streets above the canals can be steep and skinny, so our dispatcher plans the truck placement and, where the city requires it, we sort out a parking arrangement so we are not blocking traffic. If a shuttle from a larger truck makes sense, we set that up rather than risk a stuck rig.
Can you schedule around a Nor'easter in the winter?
Yes. We move all winter in Holyoke, but we watch the storm track on the hillside addresses especially. If a Nor'easter is bearing down on your date we will talk through moving the slot a day, and on move day we lay heavy runners so snow and salt off those steep entryways never touch your floors.
