How long is the haul down to DC, and is it one day?
It is about 370 miles, roughly six and a half to seven hours of driving down I-91 and I-95. We run it as a one-day move on a normal load, leaving the Valley early and reaching DC the same day; a very large home may roll into a second day, which we tell you up front.
Do you handle the COI and loading-dock rules for DC apartment buildings?
Yes. Many DC and Arlington buildings require a certificate of insurance and a reserved elevator or dock window. Our office arranges the COI to the building's wording and books the window before truck day.
Why is the DC route a clear step up in price from Philadelphia?
It is roughly 140 more miles each way, which is more fuel, more drive hours, and more crew time on the road. Those costs are baked into the flat number so the longer haul never turns into a surprise on the invoice.
